Zarvan Tumboli overcomes tough FT in Spartan Flash
Yesterday, the feature tournament of Thursday on Spartan Poker, The Flash INR 12 Lakhs GTD was hosted. The tournament, like any other feature tournament, brings out the best poker players from across the country and yesterday was no different.
The tournament started on the platform at 7.30 pm in the evening. After a long grind of over 5 hours which ended at 12.37 am, the winner was declared, and it was none other than well-known community player Zarvan Tumboli aka ‘BolAuntyAuKya’ who overcame a tough field of 309 total entries (including 36 re-entries and 121 re-buys) and a tougher Final Table to win the title.
The FT itself had heavyweights like IOPC Main Event winner Ashish Munot aka ‘Donkey 07’ (3rd – INR 1,27,184), Rajesh Shukla aka ‘Narammasala’ (4th – INR 1,03,700), Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid’ (5th – INR 82,688), Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘instrumental’ (7th – INR 46,226) and SSS Triple Bubble runner-up Abhishek Rathod aka ‘icmizer’ (8th – INR 33,495) in contention. Tumboli must’ve felt pretty good about beating all these extremely talented players to ship the title.
Tumboli made a heads-up deal with ‘vysh4987’, who was this month’s SSS Main Event winner and he obviously proved to be a tough opponent for Tumboli to agree to a deal. Tumboli earned INR 2,50,364 out of the deal and the runner-up too bagged a decent pay-check of INR 2,08,191 for his 2nd place finish.
Coming to the champion, Tumboli’s record is impressive, on live and online felts both. This month’s Spartan SSS saw him topping the series’ leaderboard too after making multiple deep runs and two title wins (SSS #1 and SSS #20). On the live scenario, he shipped the Ho Chi Minh Cup in 2018 WPT Vietnam for INR 7.7 Lakhs. This win yesterday is also a sizeable winning amount and will see him convert it into more wins in no time.
Apart from the star-studded FT, some knowns to rank in the top 27 paid places (min-cash INR 12,360) were Sahil Mahboobani (10th), Shravan Chhabria (11th), Kartik Ved (12th), recent Flash winner Amit Ajwani (13th), Sahil Agarwal (15th), Mithun Mahesh (16th), Abhishek Tibrewala (23rd), and others.
